Movember has finished for 2006 but these guys have been at it for some time!

Dec. 5 - It's not easy to keep up gravity defying mustaches like the ones seen at this annual meeting of the The Union of Distinctive Egyptian Mustaches.
Every night before he goes to sleep, for example, one member washes his mustache with soap and water and polishes it with organic oils. He then washes it with shampoo and balsam.
The whole process costs around 300 Egyptian pounds ($52.5 USD) a month, a hefty sum by Egyptian standards.
Whatever the financial costs and other burdens that go along with belonging to this exclusive club, they are a small price to pay for the fame that the members say goes along with it.

30th Movember

Much to my wife's releaf, it's the last day of Movember!

Had fun with the trimmer this morning, and it went flat in the middle of it... Mangled the Mo, but the beard got interesting...

Not long to go now! Work has had to delay their Movember close-up to the 1st December... not sure how that's going to go down with the wifey...

22nd Movember

Hmmm... less than 10 days to go and it still looks like the Mo has a lot of work needed!

21st Movember

Just 10 days to go... The Mo is finally starting to mature... and the Amish beard is looking pretty solid (cept there's a thin part on the right side).

Well, U2 are playing on Friday... bet there will be plenty of Mo's there!

16th Movember

OK, so it's been a while since I took a Movember pic, things have just been too busy...

So here we go, the Amish beard is coming along nicely, but that moustache is really struggling!

Getting still more pressure on the home-front to remove the whole lot... But I'm sticking to my guns... roll on December!

Hmm... even though the little "check when you're taking a photo of yourself" mirror on my Harrier is millimeters above the lens, it still looks like I'm looking out the window...

9th Movember

Yup, day 9 and the Mo's still thin.

BTW that's Pete in the background, he's so small that he makes our office look big... nahh... it's just my lousey camera on my Harrier.

8th Movember

Back in the Auckland office... I'm starting to think the camera on my phone is a little fish-eye...

7th Movember

Was down in the Welly office today... nice shiny new office... Found out that our CEO is also Movembering... good for him!

That beard is starting to look quite well definied... just as well you can't see how thin the sidies are...

6th Movember

Well, didn't take any pics on the weekend, but here's Monday, finally starting to get a little definition going on the beard front, but that Mo's still looking light and thin....

3rd Movember

Well, took to my face with a razor this morning... hmmm not that you can tell from the photo...

The wife's reaction was "All that saving cream and I still can't see where you shaved!"

Oh well, it's early days yet...

2nd Movember

OK, so the Movember.com Mo Log is down, so I'm just going to have to post here...

Yes, there's a hint of subble there, looks rather salt'n'pepper close up, too many grey ones! Didn't shave at all today, to get some growth going before I figure out just what I'm going to carve into my face... (much to my wife's dread.)
